How Followthrough works
Three steps. No CRM, no manual logging, no new habits to build.
- 1
Connect your Gmail
Sign in with Google. Followthrough asks for the same permissions Gmail add-ons normally need — nothing more. Your mailbox stays yours; we never see your password.
- 2
Send email like you always do
Compose and send from Gmail as usual. Followthrough quietly tracks link clicks and watches for replies on threads you choose to track — one click, right in the compose window.
- 3
Check two buckets, not an inbox
Every hour, Followthrough scores your tracked threads. Follow up means a prospect went quiet and it's on you to nudge them. Watching means they clicked or engaged — worth keeping an eye on.
What counts as activity
A reply from the actual prospect clears a thread automatically — auto-replies and out-of-office bounces don't count. A link click moves a thread into Watching. Nothing happens without your mailbox actually sending or receiving real mail; there's no separate tracking pixel to manage.
What Followthrough can and can't see
Followthrough only reads mail in threads you've explicitly opted into tracking. It never reads your full inbox, never sends mail on your behalf without you clicking Send yourself, and you can disconnect your mailbox at any time from the popup.
